Student Wellness with me is about giving young people tools they can actually use the moment life feels too loud - at school, at home, or in their own minds. I create programs that normalize big feelings and show students there is always another way to cope.
The Emotional Regulation Program introduces youth to the basics of understanding their inner world: how to notice emotions in their bodies, name what they feel, and choose a response instead of reacting on autopilot. Through games, visuals, and simple language, they learn that no feeling is "bad," and every feeling carries information.
In Stress Management for Students, I address the pressure of grades, friendships, and family expectations head-on. Students learn practical skills like breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and time-blocking for schoolwork so anxiety does not run the show.
Mindfulness for Youth offers a gentle entry into stillness for busy minds. I guide short practices - like mindful breathing, sensory check-ins, and movement-based mindfulness - so even restless students can experience what calm feels like in their bodies.
Goal Setting for Teens connects wellness to the future they want. Instead of vague dreams, students learn how to set specific, realistic goals and break them into steps. They also explore how their habits, friendships, and coping skills support or sabotage those goals.
My training as a licensed clinical social worker means I approach Student Wellness with a trauma-informed lens, always mindful that some students are surviving more than they share. Activities are invitational, not forced, and I prioritize psychological safety alongside skill-building.
When schools invest in this work, they are not just reducing crises; they are helping students build a lifelong foundation for mental and emotional health. Student Wellness programming plants small seeds of awareness and resilience that can grow with them into adulthood.
